Overview
GHRP-6 is a synthetic hexapeptide growth-hormone secretagogue with the sequence His-D-Trp-Ala-Trp-D-Phe-Lys-NH2. As one of the earliest members of the GHRP class, it agonizes the ghrelin receptor (GHS-R1a) and stimulates growth-hormone release from the pituitary, and it played a historically important role in the discovery of the ghrelin-receptor system.
In research it is used as a well-characterized reference secretagogue for studying GHS-R1a signaling and pituitary growth-hormone dynamics, and as a comparator when profiling newer, more selective secretagogues. Earlier-generation GHRPs such as GHRP-6 are noted in the literature for less selective secondary effects than later compounds, which makes GHRP-6 useful as a contrast in receptor-selectivity work. Cell and animal findings are preclinical and should be distinguished from established pharmacology.
BioTech Pharma supplies GHRP-6 as a lyophilized powder for laboratory research use only. Lot-specific analytical documentation may be available and should be confirmed for the applicable material. Bulk and custom-fill quantities are available by quote.

Procurement Details
Availability, lead time, salt / content basis, and cold-chain requirements depend on the specific lot and quantity, so we confirm them per enquiry rather than publishing fixed figures. Request confirmation for your requirements with your quote and our team will respond with details for the applicable batch.
Storage & Handling
Lyophilized: store desiccated at −20 °C, protected from light. Reconstituted: keep at 2–8 °C and establish working-solution stability empirically per lot; the two tryptophan residues make prepared solutions sensitive to light, so minimize light exposure.
