Scope and operator
This Privacy Policy applies to personal data processed through biotech.ph and related communications with BioTech Pharma Ltd.. It covers public browsing, quote and custom-synthesis enquiries, and distributor verification.
BioTech Pharma Ltd., with its registered contact address at Hong Kong Science Park, Hong Kong, is the operator of the website and the data user or controller for the processing described in this Policy. Legal and privacy enquiries may be sent to hello@biotech.ph.
Independent websites, laboratories, logistics providers, distributors, and other third parties have their own privacy practices, which are not governed by this Policy.
Personal data we collect
Information you submit in a quote or contact request
When you request pricing, documentation, bulk supply, API manufacturing, custom synthesis, or other commercial information, we may collect:
- your name, business email address, organization, and country;
- project type, selected compounds, pack size, quantity, documentation needs, timeline, and message content;
- confirmations that the enquiry is for research use and that you consent to the processing described in this Policy;
- correspondence and information needed to respond to your request; and
- billing, shipping, customs, tax, compliance, or authorized-representative information if a later transaction requires it.
Distributor verification and registry data
A verification request may include a distributor code, email address, or telephone number. We process this information and relevant distributor records only as needed to provide and protect the verification service. Public results do not disclose private contact information.
Technical and security data
When you access the site, we may process your IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, and basic usage or error information as needed to operate, secure, and improve the website.
Sensitive information
Please do not submit patient data, medical records, passwords, payment-card details, or other sensitive personal information through public forms. Contact us first if a project requires special data-handling arrangements.
How we use personal data
We may use personal data to:
- receive, evaluate, route, and respond to RFQs and commercial enquiries;
- prepare quotations, specifications, documentation packages, supply discussions, and transaction records;
- verify whether a submitted identifier matches an active official distributor;
- operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the website and services;
- prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access;
- communicate service, policy, safety, or legal notices;
- comply with applicable laws, court orders, sanctions, export controls, customs, tax, accounting, and record-keeping obligations; and
- establish, exercise, or defend legal rights and resolve disputes.
We do not sell personal data. We do not use RFQ details to build advertising profiles, and we do not permit third parties to use those details for their own targeted advertising.
Grounds for processing
Depending on the context and the law applicable to you, we process personal data on one or more of the following grounds:
- your consent, including the express consent requested before submitting an RFQ;
- steps taken at your request before a possible contract, such as preparing a quotation or evaluating a custom project;
- performance of a contract or supply arrangement with you or the organization you represent;
- legitimate business interests, such as securing the service, preventing abuse, maintaining accurate distributor records, and responding to professional enquiries; and
- legal obligations and legal claims.
Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it for future processing. Withdrawal does not affect processing already completed or processing required on another lawful ground.
How long we retain data
We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including responding to enquiries, maintaining business and transaction records, meeting legal or regulatory obligations, resolving disputes, and protecting the website.
When personal data is no longer required, we delete or anonymize it unless continued retention is required or permitted by law.
Data security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, loss, or misuse.
No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. The Hong Kong Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) provides rights and establishes six Data Protection Principles concerning collection, accuracy and retention, use, security, openness, and access and correction. - object to or opt out of direct marketing.

Some rights are subject to exemptions, record-retention duties, legal claims, third-party rights, and technical feasibility. We will explain any material refusal where required.
Direct marketing
We do not use personal data for direct marketing without the consent or other permission required by applicable law. A response to your RFQ, requested product documentation, or a service notice is not treated as unrelated marketing.
If we send optional commercial updates, each eligible message will provide a practical way to opt out. You may also email hello@biotech.ph. Opting out of marketing does not prevent necessary transaction, safety, legal, or service communications.
Children and professional users
This website is directed to adult professionals acting for laboratories, research institutions, distributors, and industry organizations. It is not directed to children or consumers seeking products for personal use. You must be at least 18 years old to submit an RFQ or use the interactive services.
If we learn that a child has submitted personal data, we will take reasonable steps to delete or restrict it. A parent or guardian may contact hello@biotech.ph.
Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect changes in our services or legal obligations. The revised version will be posted here with a new effective date. For material changes affecting data already collected, we will provide additional notice or request renewed consent where required by law.
You should review this page periodically. Continued use after an update does not override any consent requirement or statutory right that applies to you.
