CJC-1295 with DAC (DAC:GRF) is a synthetic analogue of growth-hormone-releasing hormone built on the tetrasubstituted GRF(1-29) backbone ([D-Ala2, Gln8, Ala15, Leu27]) and extended at position 30 with an Nε-maleimidopropionyl-lysine "drug affinity complex" (DAC). In the primary literature the DAC group forms a covalent bond with serum albumin, which markedly extends the analogue’s circulating half-life relative to native GHRH(1-29). The names CJC-1295, CJC-1295 DAC, and CJC-1295 with DAC are synonyms for this DAC-bearing molecule.

As a research tool it is used to study sustained GHRH-receptor engagement and its downstream effects on pulsatile growth-hormone release and IGF-1 dynamics in preclinical models.
